WHAT IS MERCURY RETROGRADE?Mercury is the planet representing the mind, intellect, communication, contracts, and messages. Mercury retrogrades three times a year for about three weeks at a time. It is a natural part of the planet’s rhythm and cycle. During the retrograde, you may notice difficulties with communication or technology and challenges in logistics and travel. This also might not be the best time to start something new, especially business endeavours, although it’s fine to improve upon projects already started. The retrograde period is also terrific for research of all kinds. It is a great time to slow down, rest up, reorganise, communicate with extra care, double-check your work, and take some time to reflect inwardly. The post-retrograde shadow period lasting about two weeks after Mercury’s station to direct motion represents a gradual easing off of the retrograde symptoms. |
