The metamorphosis of your self-concept goes on Capricorn, with continued emphasis on transformational Pluto in your sign. Your choices are to go quietly and calmly into your further developmental journey, or else to struggle against the evolutionary pressure until you have to go anyway. It is said that the successful culture, group, or individual will detect the direction in which history is trending and choose to go that way; although being able to see this clearly is indeed the rub. This August month, with the placement of the recent Leo New Moon, also indicates that what is coming up for you now is a deep dive into intimacy with self and others, heralding your current life direction. You are therefore taking seriously the prompting of your inner sense of what is right, in terms of action and relationship. Your values are altering, especially in the timing of the August 11th Full Moon in your resources sector, which could perhaps signal the recognition of your finances as a means rather than an end, the question being toward what. This is a month when you may get closer to understanding your own unique vision for your final destination.

The New Moon in Leo that took place at the end of July kicked off a new thirty-day cycle in the sector of your chart that relates to your intimate connections and agreements with others, including business partnerships, lasting most of August. Your ability to do more of what you love and pursue your passions may be directly or indirectly connected to the support you receive from others this month and you could also experience some tension related to pre-existing agreements. The changes in self-concept that you could have been experiencing all this year continue. In this New Moon and perfecting on August 2nd, Mars, Uranus and the North Node in Taurus form dynamic triple conjunction, which brings a tremendous focus on the creative and romantic sector of your chart. You might feel a strong compulsion to follow your muse this month and you could surprise yourself with how ingenious or inspired you are when you give yourself permission to experiment. Autonomy and self-agency can be important themes this month but you may also come to realize the value, benefits and strength that some of your partnerships bring to your life.
Mercury enters Virgo on the 4th which may help sort through your long-term priorities more objectively in the weeks ahead. This could be a very inspired period for you but there might also be some fears that are stopping you from pursuing a more creative path.
On the 6th through the 8th, Mars in Taurus squaring Saturn in Aquarius highlights a certain amount of financial pressure or responsibilities that could be clashing with your desire to take on more creative risks. However, Venus transiting in Cancer does take some of the pressure off and may increase your ability to tap into the more romantic influences especially as she comes into a beautiful trine with Neptune in Pisces on these same days. Your ability to let go of trying to control things might be directly linked to your ability to enjoy the more positive influences at this time.
The Aquarius Full Moon takes place on August 11th and is conjunct with your ruler, Saturn, in the part of your chart that relates to your personal assets, resources and sense of self-worth. You could feel a certain amount of pressure coming from your long-term goals or investments. The Full Moon also squaring Uranus in the creative sector of your chart might make it harder to see the benefits of sticking to the obsolete structures in your life. You may also be restricted from moving ahead in the direction that you would like at this time due to pre-existing commitments or you could perhaps be waiting on someone who seems unwilling to collaborate. Either way, this Full Moon may be helpful in terms of illuminating what stands in your way or what has become too burdensome. This influence continues until nearly the end of August.
Mars enters Gemini on the 20th for the next seven months where it will bring attention to the sector of your chart related to health and daily routines. Mars spends an exceptionally long time in the sign of the Twins due to its retrograde motion in the last few months of the year which could help you streamline your schedule in more productive ways in the days ahead. You may have to spend time re-orienting your attention and focusing on things that can better serve your long-term objectives.
Mercury opposing Neptune on the 20th through the 22nd of August could highlight the slippery slope that is social media and the internet of excess information, threatening to derail your focus by creating too much anxiety. The Sun entering the earth sign of Virgo on the 23rd brings a supportive influence and you should feel a sense of clarity returning in the weeks ahead that might help you progress in more productive ways.
Mercury’s ingress into the sign of Libra on the 25th brings attention to the vocational sector of your chart. However, Mercury is slowing down and preparing to station retrograde in September, beginning on the 9th, which may mean that whatever is emerging at this time could take some time to develop.
The New Moon in Virgo on the 27th signals the beginning of a fresh cycle in the part of your chart that relates to expansion and possibilities. The last few days of August and most of the following month are filled with supportive momentum and you might feel a renewed sense of direction and a desire to learn. Your mind could be focused on the future and the things you want to accomplish but you may also need to be aware of all the logistical elements that are required for you to succeed. With Mars in Gemini squaring this New Moon, you might have to find the proper outlets for your excess mental energy to ensure that you do not scatter your efforts in too many directions. A meditation or mindfulness practice can be useful now, and an excellent way to help you move through this time especially if you’re feeling scattered.
